Still life photo competition

Sometimes you miss the beauty in the most simple of things

Just when I tidied up her room, my two year old decided to unpack and throw her plastic balls all over the floor. And then I saw a great opportunity to grab my camera, as there was also a beautiful morning sunlight coming in through the window...

I took this on 'close-up' setting on my Nikon 5000 and closed the flash. I struggled to focus just on the wheelbarrow but after several attemps I think it got there.

You guys sent in some lovely still life shots this week. Congratulations to Lynn Doreyallen for her photo 'Simple Things'. We love how you have shown real depth in your image and the use of the vase adds context. Enjoy your prize, a Pixum 18"x12" Aluminium Print of a photo of your choice.
